Jack E. Neal, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Jack E. Neal is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has practiced in the Seattle and Kirkland areas for the past twenty-five years. He is currently in practice in the Northgate, Downtown, and Totem Lake areas with his son, Craig E. Neal DDS, MD, and now with Dr. Galia Leonard DDS, MD, PhD. He is active in a wide range of community affairs and lives at home with his wife Bette, two Maltese puppies, and a large cat.
Dr. Neal attended Furman University in Greeneville, SC for his undergraduate training where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and a commission as an infantry lieutenant. He then chose a deferment to attend the University Of Maryland School Of Dentistry in Baltimore, MD. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Neal then served in the Army Dental Corps as a general dentist at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt, Germany. After his military service, Dr. Neal entered the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. During this residency program, he was involved in clinical and laboratory research in the areas of bone grafting and reconstruction and received a Masters of Science degree. The family then moved to Seattle where Dr. Neal started his private practice in Kirkland. He was certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1976.
Throughout his practice career, Dr. Neal has served his specialty and dentistry in numerous capacities. He was the president of both the Washington State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Western Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He was a delegate to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Anesthesia Committee, and Chairman of the Practice Management Committee for many years. He has been active in the Seattle and King County Dental Society and the Washington State Dental Association, serving on various committees.

Dr. Neal maintains appointments at the following area hospitals:
Evergreen Hospital and Medical Center, Swedish Hospital and Medical Center, Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, and Childrens Hospital and Medical Center.
A lifelong student, Dr. Neal attends several advanced education courses each year. In 2005 he was certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Neal is also involved in his community. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for Washington Dental Service, and is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor for the American Heart Association of Washington. He is also a provider for both the Washington State Dental Association Access Program and the Donated Dental Services Program. Dr. Neal has been a member of the Board of Trustees at University Preparatory Academy, as well as the Bertchi School. He is a Rotarian and a member of the Greens Committee at Broadmoor Golf Club. His interests include golf, cycling, scuba diving, gourmet pasta, medieval tapestries, guessing peoples weight at the fair, and shoe collecting.
