Welcome to our website! We appreciate your visit, and would love to share a little bit about our practice with you.

Neal Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has been serving the Seattle-King County area of Washington State for over three rewarding decades. We initially began in north Kirkland, and are proud of our professional and community growth over the years. We now offer unsurpassed treatment at three state-of-the-art facilities in Kirkland and Seattle, allowing us to better meet the location and scheduling needs of our patients.

The original Neal OMS opened its doors in July 1973. The Evergreen Professional Plaza, just down the street from our current location, was our home for nine years. Jack Earl Neal, DDS, MS, had recently completed his service in the Army Dental Corp, and began a practice that would grow and thrive in sync with his young family. Over the years we’ve expanded to include the first North Seattle practice in 1995 and the Downtown practice in Seattle’s historic Medical-Dental Building in 2002.

One member of that family, Craig, would grow up to become an oral surgeon as well.

Craig Eric Neal, DDS, MD opened a solo practice in November 2000 right next door to his dad’s original Kirkland location. Eventually the two doctor Neal’s teamed up to work the multiple practices, and opened Neal Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at its current location in Kirkland in 2004.

Galia Leonard, DDS, MD, PhD, our esteemed partner, was warmly welcomed into the Neal OMS family in 2005. Dr. Leonard’s impressive expertise includes plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as teaching and other educational endeavors.

We are pleased and proud of our gorgeous new facility in North Seattle’s Meridian Medical Pavilion, 3000 square feet of beautiful, spacious operatories and up-to-the-minute technology. We opened our doors in January 2008.

Our mission is to provide every patient with the same level of excellence we would want for our own families. We firmly believe that good working relationships and effective, clear communication with our referring doctors will ensure our patients a smooth and pleasant experience. We pride ourselves on professionalism, absolute courtesy, and sensitivity to the individual needs of our clientele.

Neal Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is also dedicated to community involvement and giving back. We actively participate in:

Medical Teams International, Donated Dental, Dentistry for the Disabled through SKCDS, and treatment of patients from the Northwest Kidney Center Program through SKCDS.

Dr. Galia Leonard also heads up medical teams for charitable dental and surgical care in third world countries, having traveled to Guatemala several times with organizations like Hearts in Motion (www.heartsinmotion.org). She has performed cleft lip and palate surgeries, among others, on multiple occasions and finds it very rewarding. Many of our staff members have also participated over the years.
